Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat asserted on Saturday that while India remains dedicated to global peace and well-being, the world has now witnessed the nation’s significant strength. Speaking at a program in Jaipur, he emphasized that the “language of peace” is truly heeded by others only when it comes from a position of power. Referring to recent actions concerning Pakistan, Bhagwat clarified that India harbors no hatred, yet the world tends to acknowledge messages of love and welfare primarily from those who possess strength. He stated that this is an inherent aspect of the world order, necessitating India to be powerful for the sake of global welfare, a strength he believes the world has now recognized. Bhagwat further highlighted that global welfare is a core tenet of India’s ethos, particularly Hinduism, and that India sees its role as a supportive elder sibling, actively working towards international peace and harmony, as demonstrated by its swift assistance to Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives during their respective crises. He also underscored India’s tradition of sacrifice, honoring figures from Lord Shri Ram to Bhamashah.
