- Early Application for Government Jobs: Allowing Ex-Servicemen to apply for government jobs under their quota in their final year of service to ensure seamless transition.
- Utilization as NCC Trainers: Leveraging the expertise of Ex-Servicemen as NCC trainers.
- Enhanced Welfare for Veer Naris: Increased livelihood opportunities for widows of servicemen.
- Filling Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer Posts: Appointing officers in each district to streamline service-related matters.
Chief Secretary Dulloo pledged the government’s commitment to supporting Ex-Servicemen, acknowledging their service to the nation. He assured:
- Exploration of self-employment opportunities through government schemes.
- Resolution of issues related to government job applications.
- Encouraged the use of the “JK Samadhan” portal for efficient grievance redressal.
- Directed the Home Department to prioritize and expedite the resolution of these demands.
- Assured that the government is aware of the welfare concerns of the Ex-Servicemen, and will take all possible steps to ensure a pleasant post-retirement life.
- Timely reviews of the resolution of these issues.
The meeting highlighted the government’s intent to address the needs of the Ex-Servicemen community in Jammu and Kashmir.
