Effective Tuesday, oil marketing companies in India have decreased the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 41. In Delhi, the new retail price is Rs 1762. This follows a previous reduction of Rs 7 on February 1st.
Commercial LPG prices are subject to regular adjustments based on global crude oil prices and other market factors. Notably, this revision does not affect domestic LPG cylinder prices used for household cooking.
A prior increase of Rs 62 was implemented in December. The current reduction is expected to provide some financial relief to restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments that rely on these cylinders for their daily operations.
LPG prices vary across states due to differences in local taxes and transportation costs.
While the recent price decrease is marginal, it will offer some benefit to businesses nationwide, amidst volatile international market conditions.
