A police pursuit of suspected drug peddlers in the Surey Chak area, under Satwari Police Station’s jurisdiction, resulted in a fatal crossfire incident today. During the chase, the police team reportedly came under fire from unidentified individuals.
In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, 21-year-old Mohammad Parvez, a resident of Javed Nagar, Nikki Tawi, sustained injuries. He was transported to Government Medical College Jammu but succumbed to his injuries.
