On the Indus Water Treaty
PM Modi declared that India will now assert full control over its share of river waters, calling the Indus Water Treaty “an injustice.” He stated that the agreement had unfairly benefited a neighboring country while depriving Indian farmers of water.
He emphasized that compromises on farmers’ and national interests “are not acceptable… not anymore.” The Prime Minister vowed that “the right over India’s share of water belongs only to India and its farmers.”

On National Security and “Operation Sindoor”
Reflecting on the April 22nd Pahalgam massacre, PM Modi warned against nuclear threats and praised the military’s response, dubbed “Operation Sindoor.”
He stated that the operation was an expression of the nation’s outrage, noting that the armed forces were given a “free hand” to choose their strategy, targets, and timing. He revealed that Indian forces entered hundreds of kilometers into enemy territory, destroying a terrorist headquarters. The Prime Minister added that the destruction was so massive that new information is still being uncovered daily.
