A houseboat, owned by MD Yousuf, caught fire on the Jhelum river near Abdullah bridge in Srinagar earlier Wednesday morning at approximately 4:00 AM.
Local residents and authorities quickly responded to the blaze, which helped prevent any casualties. While the vessel was damaged, there was no loss of life reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
