JK Police Seize Counterfeit Gold Biscuits, Nab Three

Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested three individuals and seized a large quantity of fake gold biscuits in Budgam district.

Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a suspicious vehicle near Gogjipathri crossing in the Khansahib area. Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered 239 gold-like biscuits, suspected to be counterfeit.

The three occupants of the vehicle, identified as Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Farooq Ahmad Dar, and Shabir Ahmad Dar, were arrested for their involvement in the illicit trade of counterfeit gold biscuits.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the accused were selling these fake gold biscuits to unsuspecting buyers at exorbitant prices.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway.

This incident highlights the growing menace of counterfeit goods and the need for vigilance among the public. It is important to purchase precious metals from authorized dealers only and to be wary of deals that seem too good to be true.
