Security forces in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, concluded a search operation on Friday after locals reported seeing suspicious drone-like lights in the sky the previous night.
The locals, who were sitting on rooftops in the Sahar Khad area, said they saw a continuous light in the sky that looked like a train coming down towards the area. They alerted the police, who launched a search operation with the help of paramilitary forces and locals.
The search operation lasted till 11 PM on Thursday and was resumed in the morning. However, nothing was found.
The police said that the locals were alert and informed them about the suspicious lights. They also helped the search teams in the search operation.
The police said that they are investigating the matter and will take further action as needed.
