J&K Police Nab Four for Gambling

In an effort to combat social crimes, the Ganderbal Police apprehended four individuals engaged in gambling in the village of Serch Bala. Acting on specific information, a police team led by SHO Inspector Manzoor Ahmad raided the location and seized playing cards and ₹6500 in stake money.

“Following the directives of SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta, the operation successfully apprehended the four individuals,” stated a police spokesperson. “The arrested individuals, identified as Javid Ahmad Sheikh, Mehraj Ud Din Shoda, Arbaz Ahmad Dar, and Mehraj Din Bhat, have been taken into custody.”

A case (FIR No. 32/2024) has been registered at the Ganderbal Police Station under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is ongoing.
