Awantipora Police apprehended a drug peddler in the Awantipora area.
During a routine check at Y Junction Barsoo Awantipora, a police team from Awantipora Police Station arrested Aijaz Ahmad Sultan, son of Sonnullah Sultan, a resident of Wanihama –Payeen Hazratbal Srinagar.
Sultan was acting suspiciously, and a search yielded 18 grams of a substance resembling charas.
A case (FIR Number 34/2024) under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Awantipora Police Station.
