Department of Youth Services & Sports, Zone Gandhi Nagar has organized Sports Competitions/Recreational Activities for Household Women and Golden Age People at Saurinsar in the sports disciplines of Volleyball, Chess, Carrom, Tug-of-War, Rope Skipping, Badminton & Table Tennis under the Chairmanship Sh. Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu and overall Supervision by Zonal Physical Education Officer, Gandhi Nagar, Sh. Ram Murti, at Govt. Higher Secondary School Saurinsar.
On this occasion, Sh. Bodhraj Singh, Sarpanch, Panchayat Saurinsar was the Chief Guest and Guest of Honors Sh. Joginder Singh, DDC Member, Saurinsar & Sh. Krishan Chand, Numberdar, Saurinsar were present there.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Sh. Bodhraj Singh, Sarpanch, Panchayat Saurinsar, encouraged and brief about the importance of sports in our lives and for keeping us physically and mentally fit.
Near about 75 Female from Panchayat Saurinsar took part in the various sports and recreational activities.
In the end ZPEO Gandhi Nagar, proposed words of appreciation and thanks the chief guest for their valuable support and panegyrizing the staff for making their sincere efforts in making the said Competitions a great success and appreciated the participants and motivated them to participate in games and sports to maintain their fitness level.
All the deputed PELs, PEMs, PETs, REKs, NYC and other staff members of YSS Department were present there. The events/competitions were conducted by panel of experts Sh. Omeshwar Sanyal (PEL), Smt. Dalbir Kour (PEM), Sh. Sukhdev Singh (PEM), Sh. Varinder Kumar (PEM), Smt. Gurdeepika Kour (PEM), Smt. Sunita Kumari (PET), Sh. Jagjeet Singh (PET), Smt. Parveen Kour (PET), Sh. Kamal Singh (PET), Smt. Pallvi Sharma (REK), Smt. Kiran Kumari (REK), Smt. Priya Devi (REK) and Smt. Monika (REK) of the Department.
