Abdullahs, Muftis colluded with Pak ISI to torture Kashmiri Pandits: Tarun Chugh

BJP leader Tarun Chugh has accused the Abdullah and Mufti families of being responsible for the atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits since 1989.

Chugh, who is the national general secretary of the BJP, said that both families have been “hand-in-glove with the Pakistan ISI” to allow the killings of Kashmiri Pandits and make them leave the state in the 1990s.

He took strong exception to Farooq Abdullah’s contention in Parliament that his government in 1989 tried to protect Kashmiri Pandits, calling it a “bundle of lies”.

Chugh said that Abdullah was “aware of the design to victimise Kashmiri Pandits, commit atrocities on them by murders and rapes, and make them leave the state”.

He also blamed the Abdullah and Mufti families for the “anti-national politics” that brought Jammu and Kashmir to the brink of collapse.

Chugh said that the abrogation of Article 370 has ushered in a new era of development and progress in J&K, and that the people of the state are no longer talking about curfews and stones, but about progress and development.

He warned that the Abdullah and Mufti families are bent upon taking J&K back to the stage of violence and disturbance, but that their anti-national designs will not succeed because the people have woken up to their wicked political plots.

The Centre abrogated the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
