Agniveers of the J&K Light Infantry Regiment complete rigorous training

he first batch of Agniveers from the J&K Light Infantry Regiment completed their rigorous training on Saturday. The ceremony was attended by their parents and mentors, who had been part of their 31-week journey.

Agnipath is a scheme that allows young people to serve in the armed forces for four years. After that, they can either be offered a permanent position or go on to other careers. The government has also said that 10% of general duty constable posts in the Central Reserve Police Force will be reserved for ex-Agniveers.

This is a significant step in the implementation of the Agnipath scheme, and it shows that the government is committed to providing opportunities for ex-Agniveers after their four-year service.
