A solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held to honor Army Rifleman Ravi Kumar, who was martyred during an encounter with terrorists in Narla, Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday. The Army bid a tearful farewell to the slain soldier on Wednesday.
The White Knight Corps of the Army, based in Jammu, said in a statement, “The White Knight Corps salutes the supreme sacrifice of Rifleman Ravi during Operation SUJALIGALA in the highest traditions of the Indian Army. His unwavering dedication and service to our nation will always be remembered.”
Rifleman Ravi was a brave and courageous soldier who was always willing to put his life on the line to protect his country. He was a true patriot and his sacrifice will never be forgotten.
The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by senior Army officers, as well as Rifleman Ravi’s family and friends. They paid their respects to the fallen soldier and offered their condolences to his family.
Rifleman Ravi’s death is a reminder of the sacrifices that our soldiers make every day to protect our nation. We are grateful for his service and we will never forget his bravery.
