Budgam Police have successfully resolved a theft case in Chadoora, apprehending three individuals and recovering stolen property. Further arrests and recoveries are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
Police Station Chadoora initiated an investigation after Manzoor Ahmad Chopan reported the theft of tires, batteries, and other vehicle parts from Bonen Chadoora and surrounding areas on the night of May 12th/13th, 2025. A case (FIR No. 86/2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita – BNS) was promptly registered, and the crime scene was meticulously examined.
Credible leads quickly led to the identification and detention of three suspects: Aijaz Ahmad Doyi, Bilal Ahmad Khatana, and Mohammad Iqbal Bani, all residents of Bonen Chadoora. During interrogation, the trio confessed to their involvement in the thefts.
Based on their disclosures, multiple raids were conducted, resulting in the recovery of:
- 9 tires
- 2 vehicle batteries
- 2 speakers
- 1 music player
- 4 tire desks
- 1 Maruti Suzuki 800 car (Reg. No. JK05-8922)
All recovered items have been seized as evidence.
