During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the critical need for saturation of all financial inclusion schemes across the Union Territory. He voiced concern over low enrollment rates in several welfare schemes and directed departments to significantly scale up coverage in a mission-mode approach, ensuring that all eligible citizens are included.
Dulloo highlighted that prompt and seamless delivery of benefits is crucial for building public confidence in government programs. He instructed officials to guarantee the timely extension of scheme benefits to all eligible individuals, noting that such efficiency would encourage greater participation.
A key focus was also placed on the integration of the Registrar of Births & Deaths database with the Medical Certification of Cause of Death (MCCD) system. This integration, he stressed, will streamline the accrual of benefits like insurance claims and pension settlements, reducing delays and enhancing efficient service delivery.
Furthermore, the Chief Secretary urged departments to intensify ongoing outreach campaigns, ensuring every household receives accurate information about available schemes. He stated that increased citizen awareness is vital for boosting participation and achieving universal financial inclusion in J&K.
