In a decisive move against separatist and terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian government has declared the Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masarat Alam faction) (MLJK-MA) an unlawful organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced the ban, emphasizing the firm stance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government against those who threaten the nation’s unity, sovereignty, and integrity. He asserted that individuals or groups involved in anti-national activities, supporting terrorism, or advocating for secession in Jammu and Kashmir will face the full force of the law.
This decisive action highlights the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region. The MLJK-MA, known for its involvement in anti-national and secessionist activities, including supporting terrorist elements and advocating for the establishment of Islamic rule in Jammu and Kashmir, will now face legal repercussions for its disruptive and harmful actions.
