Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary announced in the Legislative Assembly that the Abhinav Theatre in Jammu is fully functional following the completion of all development works.
Responding to a question from Arvind Gupta on behalf of the Chief Minister, Choudhary detailed the budget allocations and completed projects. He stated that:
- Roof repair, allocated Rs. 5.69 lakh under CAPEX, is 100% complete.
- Compound wall construction, allocated Rs. 37.41 lakh under CAPEX, is 90% complete.
- Upgradation and repair works, amounting to Rs. 41.60 lakh, have been completed under CAPEX.
- The Public Works (Roads & Buildings) department has finished upgrading the sound system, lighting system, and curtains. An estimated expenditure of Rs. 101.93 lakh is being processed under Grant in Aid for the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages (JKAACL).
