India to launch National Deep Water Exploration Mission: PM Modi

On India’s 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort. He announced the launch of the National Deep Water Exploration Mission to explore oil and gas reserves in the sea, calling the initiative a “Samudra Manthan.” This new mission will be executed in a mission-mode and highlights India’s push for energy self-reliance.

This marks Prime Minister Modi’s 12th Independence Day address. Upon his arrival at the Red Fort, he was received by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, MoS Sanjay Seth, and the chiefs of the three services. He also received a ceremonial guard of honor from the National Flag Guard, the Indian Air Force, Army, Navy, and Delhi Police, led by Wing Commander Arun Nagar.

Following the Independence Day celebrations, band performances will take place across India to celebrate the victory of Operation Sindoor. Bands from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Indian Coast Guard, and various other forces will perform at over 140 locations to promote patriotic fervor among citizens.
