While light to moderate rain is expected across Kashmir between July 5th and 7th, there might be isolated areas with heavier showers. This could lead to flash floods and cloudbursts in the higher reaches, along with rising water levels in rivers and streams.
People, especially those in higher altitude areas, are advised to be cautious during this period. However, there is no need to panic about widespread flooding.
The monsoon season in Kashmir typically runs from July to mid-September, so caution is always advisable during this time.
Meanwhile, Jammu is expected to see more intense rainfall, with possibilities of flash floods, cloudbursts, and mudslides.
