Following triggering of landslides and shooting stones, the J&K Traffic department official said Restoration work is in progress on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. People are advised to avoid journey on NH-44 till the road is clear.
Traffic department official said, “Jammu-Srinagar NHW blocked at many places between Nashri and Banihal at Dalwas, Mehar, Gangroo, Mom Passi, Lower Nachlana, Kishtwari Pathar due to mudslide/shooting stones.
“Thousands of HMVs are stuck between Dalwas and Banihal. Restoration work is going on. People are advised to avoid journey on NH-44 till the road is clear”, he said
