J&K DGP Reviews Amarnath Yatra Preparations

Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, convened a high-level meeting to review the administrative and logistical preparations for the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) companies for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, 2025.

The meeting, held at the Police Control Room in Kashmir, brought together senior officers from the Police, CRPF, ITBP, Telecommunication, SDRF, BSF, SSB, and other allied agencies. Notable attendees included Special DGP (Coordination) J&K S.J.M. Gillani, ADG CRPF J&K Rajesh Kumar, ADGP Headquarters J&K M.K. Sinha, ADGP Armed J&K Anand Jain, along with numerous other IGs, DIGs, and SSPs from various branches and zones. Several officers, including the IGP Jammu Zone, IG CRPF Jammu, and all Yatra district SSPs of Kashmir Zone, participated virtually.

During the meeting, Zonal IGPs provided updates on the induction of CAPF in both zones and detailed the administrative and logistical arrangements for the incoming companies. Coordinating officers from the CAPF offered positive feedback on the arrangements at various camping sites and transit locations, expressing satisfaction with the administrative and transportation provisions.

DGP Prabhat issued directives to ensure the smooth induction and efficient ground deployment of CAPF companies, emphasizing the responsibility of district heads in this regard. He also stressed the critical need for a high level of inter-agency coordination among all forces.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to ensure the safe and successful conduct of the Amarnath Yatra.
