On Thursday, October 26, 2023, a 55-year-old man named Riyaz Hussain Shah was killed and his wife and two relatives were injured when a mud house (kacha house) collapsed in Gursai Mohri village, Mendhar, Poonch district.
According to officials, the incident occurred around 12:30 AM and affected Shah, his wife Shamim Akhtar (52), their neighbors Irfan Haider (30) and Wazaif Haider (30). The injured were taken to the SDH Surankote, but Shah succumbed to his injuries.
The police have confirmed the incident and are investigating the matter.
