In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Baramulla police nabbed a drug peddler and seized a large quantity of psychotropic substances.
Officers from Sheeri police station, led by the SHO, intercepted a suspect during a routine checkpoint in Gantamulla Colony. A thorough search revealed 72 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus, a banned psychotropic drug, hidden on the individual.
Identified as Gowhar Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Pehliharan, the suspect was promptly arrested and taken into custody at Sheeri police station. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, and a thorough investigation is underway.
