Mudslides, Rockslides Force Closure on Jammu-Srinagar Highway in Ramban

Heavy rain triggered mudslides and rockslides, forcing the closure of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway between Ramban and Banihal on Thursday night, according to a traffic police advisory.

Authorities are urging people to postpone travel plans until the weather improves. Anyone considering using the highway is advised to contact the nearest Traffic Control Unit (TCU) for the latest road conditions.

This critical highway, the only all-weather route connecting Kashmir to the rest of India, remains closed due to the unpredictable weather.
