New 250-Meter Viaduct and Maroge Tunnel to Bypass Landslide-Prone Areas on Srinagar-Jammu Highway: Nitin Gadkar

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway, Nitin Gadkari, announced the completion of a 250-meter viaduct and a 395-meter Maroge Tunnel on the Ramban to Banihal section of NH-44 in Jammu and Kashmir. This 645-meter segment will shorten the travel distance by 200 meters, reduce steep gradients, and provide an alternative route bypassing the slide-prone Sita Ram Passi area. It will also facilitate the smooth flow of vehicles by bypassing the challenging Maroge Area gradients.
