On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the inaugural Vande Bharat train service connecting Katra and Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, marking the first rail link between the Kashmir valley and the Jammu region.
The flagging-off ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Northern Railway has announced that the train offers two travel classes: Chair Car (CC) and Executive Class (EC). Fares for these classes are set at Rs 715 and Rs 1,320, respectively.
