Security forces arrested four terrorist associates linked with the proscribed terror outfit LeT in Budgam on Tuesday. The arrested associates have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Azhar Ahmad Mir, Irfan Ahmad Sofi, and Abrar Ahmad Malik.
The arrests were made in a joint operation by the police and the Army (62 RR) in the Beerwah area of Budgam. The suspects were found to be in possession of incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition.
A case has been registered against the arrested associates under relevant sections of law. They are being interrogated to ascertain their involvement in any terror-related activities.
The arrests are a major success for the security forces in their ongoing crackdown on terrorism in Kashmir. They send a clear message to the terrorists that they will not be allowed to operate in the valley.
