Early this morning (February 24th, 2024) at 5:00 AM, a truck with Jammu registration number JK20B 8416 was stopped at a checkpoint near Tikri, Udhampur.
The driver, identified as Sadam Hussain from Ramban, was transporting 17 bovines tied in a cruel manner. Upon inspection, authorities discovered the inhumane treatment of the animals and registered a case under relevant sections.
The vehicle along with the bovine animal have been kept in custody at PP Tikri.
