The Meteorological (MeT) Department on Wednesday forecast light rains and thunderstorms across Jammu and Kashmir for the subsequent four days.
A MeT department spokesperson stated that the weather is expected to be “generally cloudy with light to moderate rain/thunder at many places in Jammu Division and at a few places in Kashmir Division.”
The spokesperson further elaborated that from May 8 to May 11, scattered to fairly widespread locations are likely to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions with intermittent light to moderate rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds.
Moving beyond this period, the forecast indicates brief episodes of light rain or thundershowers at isolated locations starting from May 12.
The MeT department also predicted a return to dry weather across the region from May 13 to May 17.
