Reasi Bus Attack: Police Nab Alleged Overground Worker

In a major development, police have arrested a suspected militant associate believed to be crucial in planning and supporting the recent attack on a Yatri bus in Reasi.

Officials report a breakthrough in the investigation (FIR No. 31/2024) concerning the June 9th attack. Hakam Din (40), a resident of Bandhrahi (Saida Nallha) in Rajouri district, has been apprehended by Jammu & Kashmir Police in Reasi.

Din is accused of aiding the militants on multiple occasions. He allegedly provided them with food, shelter, and acted as a guide, leading them to the attack site. Authorities believe he played a central role in facilitating the assault.

The attack on the Yatri bus from Ransoo resulted in tragedy. The driver lost control after being targeted, causing the bus to plunge into a gorge near Kanda. Sadly, nine people died, and 41 others were injured.
