A tragic road accident occurred in Reasi district on Saturday, claiming the life of one person and leaving another injured.
The incident took place in the Mahore area when an Eeco vehicle (JK20B 2493) traveling from Tharal towards Shikari veered off the road and plummeted approximately 200 feet down an embankment near Sharki at around 9:10 AM.
Noor Jamal (36), a resident of Shikari, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. Abdul Rashid, another occupant of the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Mahore by locals and responding police personnel.
A police official confirmed the fatality and the injuries sustained by the other individual. A case has been registered, and further investigations into the accident are underway.
