A valiant army officer from the 63 Rashtriya Rifles was martyred, and three courageous personnel of the elite 9 Para forces were wounded during an ongoing anti-militancy operation in the Baji area of Kalakote, Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday.
Acting on specific intelligence, a combined team of police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the region. As the joint party closed in on the suspected area, concealed terrorists initiated fire, triggering an intense encounter.
