On April 7, 2025, at approximately 9:25 AM, ASI Ranbir Singh and officers from Police Station R.S. Pura, while conducting routine patrol in their jurisdiction, received credible information that Sarfo Devi, resident of Khana Chak, R.S. Pura, was selling illicit liquor from her residence. Upon responding to the information, the police team apprehended Sarfo Devi at her home. She was found in possession of a plastic container holding approximately 15 liters of illicit Desi Liquor, which was seized. Sarfo Devi was arrested at the scene. A case, FIR No. 65/2025, under Section 48(a) of the Excise Act, has been registered at Police Station R.S. Pura. Further investigation is ongoing. The general public has expressed appreciation for the Jammu Police’s efforts in combating the sale of illicit liquor in the area.
