On Friday, two old mortar shells were found in a farm along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.
A farmer found the live mortar shells while plowing his farm in Patti Meru hamlet along the IB in Hiranagar sector. He immediately informed the police and Border Security Force (BSF), who rushed to the spot and recovered the shells.
The mortar shells were safely defused by the BSF bomb disposal squad.
