Commissioner JMC visits Rajendra Bazar to address civic issues

Jammu, June 17, 2025 – Dr. Devansh Yadav, Commissioner of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), today visited Rajendra Bazar (Ward No. 5) at the invitation of the Market Association to assess civic issues and discuss development needs.

Traders and residents highlighted several pressing concerns during the interaction. Key among these were demands for improved sanitation, including regular drain cleaning and thorough maintenance of market lanes. With rising temperatures, the need for accessible and clean drinking water facilities was also emphasized. While JMC has installed water coolers, the association requested the addition of water purifiers to ensure potable water availability. Furthermore, the repair and maintenance of streetlights were requested to enhance public safety and convenience.

Dr. Yadav reiterated JMC’s commitment to enhancing civic amenities and working collaboratively with local stakeholders. He issued immediate directives to relevant officials for prompt action and assured the association members that their grievances would be addressed swiftly.

Also present were Dr. Vinod Sharma, Health Officer, JMC; Rajesh Kumar, Executive Engineer Division-1; Simarpal Singh, Executive Engineer, Electricity; along with Krishna Lal Gupta, President of the Market Association; Arun Gupta, Chairman; and numerous local residents.
