Ahead of Republic Day celebrations on January 26, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone VK Birdhi assured smooth festivities in Srinagar and other districts.
Emphasizing coordination, Birdhi stated that Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with other security agencies, have meticulously planned to ensure a peaceful and joyful event. He addressed reporters at Bakhshi Stadium Srinagar, highlighting the vigilance and comprehensive security arrangements implemented across the entire security grid.
In a positive step, Birdhi announced that no restrictions will be imposed on January 26. He warmly invited everyone to participate in the celebrations, stating, “Instructions have been passed for the free movement of people so that they can attend and join the festivities in a smooth manner.”
