Chief Secretary delineates sector-wise reforms to ensure EODB across J&K

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo emphasized the urgent need to streamline processes and enhance the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) in Jammu and Kashmir, directing departments to prioritize making services readily accessible to both investors and citizens.

During a review meeting, Dulloo called for immediate action on digitizing records, establishing a comprehensive land bank, and formulating standardized bylaws for all relevant authorities. He also stressed the importance of developing future-focused, sustainable Master Plans for urban centers.

Dulloo tasked departments with implementing identified reforms within a strict timeframe, ensuring regular monitoring at the highest level.

Commissioner Secretary Vikramjit Singh of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) Department outlined 23 key priority areas aimed at driving economic growth and improving regulatory efficiency. These reforms span urban development, labor regulations, environmental clearances, and industrial facilitation.
