The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Jammu conducted searches under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) at several locations across Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. The searches targeted Raees Ahmed Bhat and others suspected of illegally selling and diverting Codeine-Based Cough Syrup (CBCS). The ED seized documents, digital evidence, ₹40.62 lakh in unexplained cash, and ₹1.61 crore worth of jewelry. The investigation is ongoing.
