On Saturday, November 11, 2023, a gunfight broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Parigam area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir.
“An encounter has started in the Parigam area of Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details will follow,” the Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
According to officials, the police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the Parigam area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.
There was a brief exchange of gunfire between the terrorists and security forces at first, after which the cordon was tightened and the search was intensified, according to the police.
