Union home minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that it is only the Modi government that has the courage to stop infiltrators in the country, and that the Congress and other opposition parties cannot do so.
Addressing a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the state assembly elections, Shah said that Modi has done the job of stopping infiltrators, and that it is not possible for the Congress and other opposition parties to do the same. He asked the crowd whether infiltrators should be stopped or not.
Shah also said that it was the Modi government that abrogated Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, despite the Congress’ claims that it would lead to a bloodbath. He said that nothing happened after Article 370 was abrogated.
The home minister also hit out at the Congress for destroying the country’s culture, and said that it was the Modi government that was nurturing and protecting it.
He also blamed the Congress for stopping several welfare schemes, including the Teerth Darshan Yojana, when it was in power in Madhya Pradesh for 15 months after the 2018 elections.
Urging people to vote for the BJP, Shah said that this time people will celebrate three Diwalis: on Sunday, on December 3 when the results of the assembly elections will be announced, and on January 22 when the consecration of Lord Ram will take place in Ayodhya.
