Poonch Police have detained Mohd Imran @ Polla, son of Itfaq Khan from Mankote, Poonch, under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA), 1978. The detention order, issued by the District Magistrate, Poonch, was executed by Police Station Mendhar, and Imran has been lodged in District Jail Udhampur.
Imran is described as a habitual offender with a record of violent crimes. Despite previous arrests and legal proceedings, he has persistently engaged in criminal activities, posing a significant threat to public safety.
The preventive detention under the PSA was deemed necessary after standard legal measures proved ineffective in curbing his unlawful behavior. This action aims to safeguard public order and prevent future criminal acts.
