J-K: BSF, CRPF Organise Cycle Rallies In Srinagar

The Border Security Force (BSF) Kashmir Frontier, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, organized a mega cycle rally that commenced from Nishat Garden. This event also commemorated Vijay Diwas.

The rally saw an enthusiastic turnout, including local youth, civilians, BSF personnel, and civil dignitaries. The proceedings began with the unfurling of the national flag and the singing of the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence to honor fallen Indian Armed Forces martyrs.

DIG BSF Srinagar, Raghubir Singh, served as the Chief Guest, flagging off the rally. Two hundred riders participated in the rally, which wound around Dal Lake and concluded at the Botanical Garden. Cyclists carried the tricolor, receiving a patriotic welcome from residents along the route. The event aimed to foster enthusiasm, national pride, and unity.

DIG BSF dedicated the rally to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Kargil War of 1999, highlighting their valor and resilience. He stated, “Kargil Vijay Diwas reminds us of the unflinching courage and ultimate sacrifice of our bravehearts. It is our duty to remember and honor their legacy.”
