In a swift and effective operation, the Janipur Police Station has successfully arrested a notorious thief, Ranjeet Singh S/o Balbir Singh R/o H.No.26 New Plot Janipur Jammu. Singh was wanted in connection with numerous gas cylinder thefts and other valuable items, and his arrest comes under Section 35 BNSS.
The breakthrough occurred after Nishu D/o Late Som Nath R/o Near Metador Stop Pamposh colony Janipur Jammu, filed a complaint regarding a theft at her residence. This led to the registration of Case FIR No. 88/2025 U/S 331(3)/305 BNS.
During questioning, Singh confessed to his crimes. Based on his statements, the police recovered 05 domestic gas cylinders linked to the registered case.
Singh was known to operate in Janipur, Bakshi Nagar, Chinore, and surrounding areas. His method involved targeting locked houses, breaking in during odd hours, and stealing gas cylinders, as well as gold and silver items.
