PM Modi to address nation at around 8 PM tonight

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at approximately 8 PM tonight, his first public address since the commencement of Operation Sindoor, according to official sources.

This address follows a recent agreement between India and Pakistan, reached two days prior, to cease all land, air, and sea military actions immediately. The agreement concluded four days of intense cross-border engagements that had raised concerns about a larger conflict.

Operation Sindoor, initiated by India on the night of May 6-7, was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in 26 fatalities. Indian forces targeted nine terrorist locations within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, reportedly eliminating over 100 terrorists.

Subsequently, Pakistan attempted attacks on multiple Indian military installations between May 8 and 10.

India responded with a significant counter-offensive, targeting Pakistani military sites including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian. Precision strikes also damaged radar sites at Pasrur and the Sialkot aviation base.

Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai reported that 35-40 Pakistani military personnel were killed during the conflict, and that India successfully achieved its operational objectives.”
