Two rescued, one missing after falling into river in Kishtwar

Three people fell into the Marwah river in Kishtwar district on Thursday afternoon. Two of the people were rescued, while one is still missing.

The incident took place at around 2:00 PM. The three people were identified as Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad Shafi, and Mohammad Yasir. They were all residents of Marwah.

According to a local official, the three men were fishing in the river when they were swept away by the strong current. Two of the men were rescued by locals, while the third man is still missing.

The army, district police, and locals are conducting a search operation to find the missing man.

The Kishtwar district is located in the Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a mountainous district with a number of rivers and streams. The Marwah river is a tributary of the Chenab river.
