In a joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Special Task Force (STF) of Amritsar foiled a major drug smuggling attempt on Thursday. Acting on credible intelligence, the vigilant forces raided a house in Didhowal village, Gurdaspur, and recovered a packet suspected to contain heroin, weighing a staggering 3.432 kilograms.
The recovered narcotics were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and had a metal hook attached, suggesting it was meant for transportation across the border. This successful operation highlights the commendable efforts of the BSF and STF in curbing the illegal drug trade and protecting the nation’s borders.
