Kashmir Shivers as Nighttime Temperatures Plummet Below Freezing

The weather in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday was quite cold, with temperatures dropping several notches below the freezing point in the Valley. Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of -0.3 degrees Celsius, while Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonamarg were even colder, at -12, -11.9, and -15.1 degrees Celsius, respectively.

In the Ladakh region, Leh town recorded a minimum temperature of -9.4 degrees Celsius, while Kargil was slightly warmer at -11.5 degrees Celsius.

Jammu city and Katra were the warmest places in the state, with minimum temperatures of 5.7 degrees Celsius. Batote, Bhaderwah, and Banihal were all colder, recording minimum temperatures of -3.8, -5.2, and -6.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
