Authorities in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri district are investigating the apparent suicide of a 70-year-old man, who was found with a fatal gunshot wound on Tuesday. The individual has been identified as Pritam Dass from Hilla village.
According to officials, Dass shot himself at his residence in Renthal village using his licensed 12-bore gun. He was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sunderbani by his family, where medical staff pronounced him dead.
Police have opened a case and are continuing their investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
