Indo-Pak: PM Modi Chairs High-Level Meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting on Monday, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, in anticipation of scheduled discussions between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan.

The meeting also included National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and the chiefs of all three armed services.

This meeting is part of a series of regular briefings chaired by Modi involving key government officials involved in India’s military and diplomatic response to the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22.

The upcoming DGMOs-level talks follow a joint announcement by India and Pakistan last Saturday of an agreement to cease all firing and military activities across land, air, and sea with immediate effect.
